I am looking for information on my g-g-grandfather John Phillip Powell b. 1826 who married Elizabeth Limpus b. 1830 They lived in Alpine, Fayette County, Indiana from approx. 1835 to 1877. They had a daughter Rosa Belle b. 1853 in Alpine who was married to James Vawter Kerr. I would appreciate any information.

Abram WILSON was the son of John WILSON, who built a fort in the Indiana territory near Connorsville. Abram was born in Fayette County, IN, on 26 April 1818. He married Delilah SHOWER on 18 March 1838 in Fayette County. Delilah was the daughter of David SHOWER and Elizabeth. 1860 Census Fayette Co, Columbia Twp shows William GILMORE Farmer with Sally, and a Martha (E?), b. ca 1849. Also William L GILMORE now w/wife Mary Jane. Looks to me like these GILMOREs came from NY through PA.
I am searching for the George EDDY family of Indiana.
There is a Hugh Porter listed in the 1820 IN census, in Franklin Co. He is listed as being born before 1775 and among his children, he has two sons age 10 - 16. There is a Hugh Porter listed in the tax records for Fayette Co, IN in 1829. I do not know if the Franklin Co, Fayette Co and Hancock Co Hugh Porter listings are for the same person. Hi, you requested all that I have on George Kay. He was born in Indiana in 1890. He married my aunt Rose Schultz in LaPorte in 1909. They had 2 children Garnet and James. George A. Kay died in 1948, I think in Chicago. This is all I have on him, I hope this helps. If you have any more than this please share it with me.

I haven't found anyone in my grandfather's family. He may have had brothers. He was living in Connersville at the time of my mother's birth, 1901. Later moved to Indianapolis and worked in a spring foundry. When my mother tried to get a birth certificate, she was told the the Fayette County records were destroyed in a fire.

Fayette Co. Samuel PIERSON and wife Anna (SLUSER) PIERSON sold their Alpine Fayette Co. property to J.C. BRAZNELL of Harper Co. Kansas in 1886. They married in Fayette Co. in 1865. I'm searching for information on where they moved, and any details on them and their family. I know Corie born in 1884 was the 8th birth. My ancester Alonzo born ABT 1873 is listed as being disabled in some fashion in 1880 census- would like to know nature of disability. Samuel's father was Jonathan PIERSON b. 1808 in Ohio. died 1865 Fayette Co. IN. He and his wife Almirah are buried in the Bentonville Cemetary as is his brother Samuel PIERSON 1805-1883. I'm seeking any info on this family. Who was Jonathan and Samuel's father? Where did the younger Samuel and children move? Deed records for uncle Samuel state nativity as Hamilton Co. Ohio. Alonzo gives birth to my grandfather in Preston, OK in 1902. Any leads would be appreciated.

Seeking any information on the surname MILEY. I am not sure where in Indiana they may have come from. Most of them live in Ohio now as far as I know. The first name I have is ORVILLE HOMER MILEY 1893-1943 Married to ORA REBECCA ? 1900-1989. Most of their children that are still living reside in OHIO now but one that I know of does live in INDIANA somewhere. All I have is her first name RUTH.

I am inquiring about a Nathaniel HAMILTON who moved to Connersville, IN, from Hancock Co. IN. His son was William Merrill HAMILTON who lived on Ohio Ave in the late 1900's. William Merrill was married to Ella Bell TALBOT. I am trying to find the mother of William Merrill HAMILTON. I found from my daughter that in Probate Order Book "A" page 30 dated Oct 8 ,1821, page 128 dated Mar 7, 1826 and page 161 dated Mar 6, 1827. Also in Probate Book "B" page 33 dated Nov 1, 1830 and page 46 dated Jan 7, 1831. I was hoping I might get a copy of these wills. Please let me know what the cost would be for them.

I am looking for information on Hugh Porter listed in the 1830 census for Hancock Co. IN, in Sugarcreek twp. He was born between 1870 -1880. In 1833 a Hugh Porter bought land in Hancock Co, IN. I find no listing for him after 1830. Hugh may have been related to Silas Porter who died in Hancock Co about 1852. I have a copy of the probate documents for Silas. Silas is listed in the 1850 census in Brandywine twp of Hancock Co. Silas was born in PA. Silas is listed in the 1830 census in Fayette City, Fayette co IN. I would also like any additional info on Silas.
