NATHAN C. BINFORD

(Addition to "Richman" biography)

N. C. Binford was born in Blue River township, this county, on the 30th of November, 1859, the son of Robert and Martha (Hill) Binford. The latter were the parents of the following children: Benjamin H. is a farmer in Blue River township, this county; John H. is engaged in a successful real estate and loan business at Greenfield; William Penn is a farmer in Blue River township; Martha Jane is the wife of E. C. Elliott, a retired farmer now residing in Greenfield; Robert B. is a farmer in Blue River township, as is also Joseph L; Mary L., M. D. is the wife of Dr. C. K. Bruner, of Greenfield; Alice A. is the wife of C. H. Bacon.

He also occupies the responsible position of treasurer of the Indianapolis, Greenfield & Richmond Traction Company.

On September (?) 16, 1890, Mr. Binford was united in the hold bonds of matrimony with Miss Luch Hill, of Carthage, Indiana. She was born in 1863 and is the daughter of Amos H. Hill. This union has been a most congenial one and has been blessed by the birth of a son, Donald L., born September 29, 1895.
