My Grandfather, Henry Washington Carver, married Addie Olvey
on July 21, 1895. They had a child on April 13, 1896. Addie died on April 17, 1896. This is from an old family bible and it doesn't say if the baby was male or female. No one in my family knows anything about the child. This marriage was assumed to be in Tennessee. My grandfather was
21 years old at the time of marriage.

JARRETT

Barbara Pence <Barblp@aol.com> on Tue, 07 Jul 1998

I am trying to link up two JARRETT families lines in Hancock co. Andrew JARRETT came to Hancock Co and purchased land there in the 1830's. Old deeds indicate that he came from Wayne Co. IN There is also Owen JARRETT who purchased land about the same time, some of it adjoined Andrew's land. His early deeds also indicate that he came from Wayne co. There are three other JARRETTS who arrived about the same time, Neri, Roberson and Enos. All of their early records indicate that they came from Kanawha Co. WVA. I believe, though I cannot prove it, that Owen and Andrew also came from Kanawha Co. Anyway, Andrew's children were second cousins to Schyler JARRETT. Schyler was a son of Sarah WAYMIRE JARRETT and Owen, but not the one mentioned above. Schyler's father was born about 1840. I would like to find Owen's (father of Schyler) father. Siblings of Schyler Jarrett were
Nettie, Frances, Minnie and Mary. Nettie married John Harding and Mary married William Reavis. All of these JARRETTlines were in Madison Co. by 1900. Schyler had a son, Leo JARRETT who lived near Elwood in Madison Co. If you have any information or can offer any suggestions, Please e-mail me.
