George Washington JOHNSON born; 20, Sep.. 1840, maybe Shelby Co. IN. died;19, Nov./Dec. 1916 Wilkinson, IN. Married Harriett MURNAN 6, Nov. 1862 maybe Hancock Co. IN.
George and Harriett are buried at Paris Crossing, Jennings Co. IN
Had three son's that I know of.
1. Albert S. (married Mary E. McKINNEY I think had 7 sons) Albert and Mary may be buried in Greenfield.
2. Riley Edwin (married Mary Ann ELLIOTT) my Grandparents. They had 7 children that I know of: Edith Mae, Freda, Francis,Averil, Nellie, Charles and Mary Louisia (my mother)
3. Koziasko (nothing known about him, died between 1930s-1940s) lived with a family of HUTCHINSON I believe, it was said he inherited their farm when they died??! Who were they?
George served in the Civil War first as a vol. and towards the end he was drafted.
I am unable to find him in Shelby Co.or surrounding counties. His death certificate states that his parents were Silas JOHNSON and Esther HENIS and that both were born in IN.
The only place I have found them is the 1880 census for MO they were living next door to Harrietts twin Susan. George was listed as a laborer.
I have so many gaps that I need to fill, if anyone has any advise or information it would be greatly appreciated.
